Women in Reality TV: A Discussion
7PM, Monday in the WU
Familiar with the Real Housewives? Have you seen every episode of the Jersey Shore? Do The Bad Girls Club, The Bachelor/Bachelorette, The Hills, Rock of Love, Teen Mom, and Millionaire Matchmaker ring a bell? If so, come to the WU this Monday for a discussion of women in reality TV! We’ll discuss the different representations of women in reality shows (slutty? privileged? strong? ridiculous? irresponsible? and so much more, unfortunately) and the larger impact of these representations in society. Weds, 7:30PM in the WU
Join the WU for a film screening of the biopic of San Francisco mayor Harvey Milk, the first openly gay elected official in America.
WU Fellows Presentations
For this week’s Thursday noon come see the WU Fellows present on the projects they have worked on this semester. The topics range from ecofeminism and Latina’s in the medical field to feminist musicians and domestic violence awareness. Lunch will be served at 11:30 with the presentations beginning at noon.

This Friday, come to the WU to watch the film Persepolis, an adaptation of the graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi which chronicles her experience growing up during the Islamic Revolution. There will be snacks and a discussion afterwards for anyone who wants to stay. FB Page
