Hey y’all! It’s that time of the semester! We’re looking to hire an all-new staff.

What would I do as a WUster?

- Hold a weekly 4-hour shift in the cozy WU
- Attend the weekly 1-hour staff meeting
- Organize events that support our mission statement
- Participate in building a feminist community and raising consciousness

WU Application Spring 2012. Please return your applications to the Office of Student Affairs by January 30th at 4pm. You must also sign up for your interview when you turn in your application. Interviews will take place over the following few days (January 31st-February 3rd). Final note: Regretfully, we can only hire current Pomona College students at this time.

-Can humor be transgressive or liberatory? Can humor push the limits of our culture towards a more just or egalitarian culture?

A small article about US troops in South Korea raping two girls and having curfews reinstated. It’s a relatively short article that was somewhat hidden but it stuck out to me.

I also stumbled on this article surrounding a Halloween costume on the market called “Anna Rexia” that was pretty disturbing but I think brings up a lot of things regarding body image as well as the idea of what is funny and what is off limits or going too far.

Need some more decorations for your room? Want to give a gift to someone special in your life? Looking for a fun way to spend a Friday afternoon?

It’s that time of the year again! Come to the Women’s Union this Friday (9/30) from 1:30-3:30pm for a fun and relaxing afternoon of vagina coloring. We have a variety of different coloring pages for you to choose from; snacks will be provided!

You do NOT need to identify as female to attend this event; all genders are welcome!
